Charlie and Leslie, owners of W’s Village Grille, have been proud Waldwick residents for the past 20 years—Leslie having grown up in town as well. They are now finishing their third year in business right here in Waldwick. Prior to opening W’s Village Grille, they spent eight years running their previous restaurant, W’s Grill, in Oakland, NJ. Before entering the restaurant business, Charlie spent 21 years with the New York Yankees organization, earning five World Series rings during his career. He was also inducted into the Staten Island Hall of Fame. Throughout the restaurant, you’ll find Yankees memorabilia personally gifted to Charlie by his former teammates.
